DIY Pastel Rainbow Mask Chain for Kids

Advertisements

With an upcoming RV trip and school this year I wanted to make my daughter a bright and happy mask chain so the mask would not fall to the ground when she takes it off. Our obvious choice was to incorporate rainbows, so we did a DIY pastel rainbow mask chain!

This is a really simple and fun crafting project that I was able to do with my daughter in under 10 minutes.

Let me show you how I made this DIY pastel rainbow mask chain.

Supplies

Step 1

Cut your wire about 26-28″ long.

Step 2

Add any beads you have or the ones we used. We did a cute rainbow pattern.

Step 3

Add a crimp bead to the end of the wire. Make sure it does not slide into the inside of the other beads, that happened to me a few times!

Step 4

Slide a lobster clasp to the end of the wire.

Step 5

Take the end of the wire and pass it back through the crimp bead and back through about 3 beads. Adjust the beads and wire so that no wire is showing between the last bead and the crimp bead. This part was a little tricky but I figured it out eventually.

Step 6

Using your pliers, clamp down on the crimp bead until flat.

Step 7

Trim the excess wire and hide it inside that 3rd or 4th bead.

Repeat steps 3-7 for the other side.

Clasp to your favorite mask and you are ready to go!
