My eldest loves making necklaces so with Spring here and Easter coming up this weekend I thought it would be fun to make some DIY Easter necklaces with supplies we had around our house. I made these three ways, let me know which one is your favorite! I made these with my eldest except I did all the hot glue gun parts!
Let me show you how I made these simple DIY Easter necklaces! Please be careful and only do this with children that are old enough to play with beads and wear necklaces.

Supplies
- Glue gun (Adult to use only)
- Scissors
- Craft cord or string
- Pom poms in various colors and sizes (I used white, pink, yellow, orange and green)
- Beads
- White pipe cleaners (for the bunny ears)
- White felt (for the bee)
- Black sharpie (for the bee)
- White and green string (I used knitting string)
Step 1
Cut your necklace string however long it needs to be for your child. Ours ended up being about 26″ long.
Step 2
Add beads in various colors and patterns, have fun! This is the part I let my daughter get creative with.
Step 3
Make your pom pom animals/veggie.
For the bunnies, I used white and pink pom poms for the heads. Then I folded white pipe cleaners to make the ears and cut them about 1″ long. Use your hot glue gun to attach the ears to the back of the head.
For the bees, draw two black lines around a yellow pom pom with a black sharpie. Cut out the wings for each using the white felt. Glue the wings on with your hot glue gun.
For the carrot, glue three orange pom poms together in different sizes from largest to smallest. Glue a small green pom pom to the top.
Step 4
This is how I attached the pom poms to the necklaces.
For the bunnies, I tied a knot with some white string around the ears to the necklace string.
For the carrot, I tied a knot with green string just below the carrot top to the string.
The bee was tricky to tie, so I just hot glued them to the necklace.
